Sunday evening the first snow of the new year fell in the Shoals. It created a beautiful white blanket over almost everything. Trees, grass, automobiles' roofs were all covered with ice and snow. It took several minutes Monday morning to get the ice and snow off of my windshield. But I still enjoyed the winter event. As I looked out my window at the snow this morning I am reminded of the Isaiah 1:18 verse.
“Come now, let us reason together, says the LORD: though your sins are like scarlet, they shall be as white as snow; though they are red like crimson, they shall become like wool.”
I am reminded as this new year begins of God’s forgiveness and redemptive work that changes the crimson red sin of my life and heart to be white and pure as snow. By reasoning together with God, through the study of His Word and prayer, we can know and walk with God. Just like Enoch did in Genesis 5. What an awesome truth.
I am enjoying the Bible readings each day that our church fellowship has been encouraged to do. Using my Bible app I am able to listen to the scriptures being read aloud as I follow along with the text. It’s a new and different way for me to get into His word. I challenge you to get into God’s word in a new and deeper way this year.
A few months ago I was diagnosed with early stage of Leukemia MDS. Thank you for your encouragement and prayer support. I am taking medication for my low platelet levels, and am a bit tired at times, but holding up well. I will have a bone marrow biopsy later this month. Trusting Him in the days ahead.
Under His grace,
