Mission Dolls

Since 2009, one of Woodmont's WMU groups has been hand making dolls to be used as a simple tool to teach children about Jesus. One side of the doll has eyes closed and no smile because they don't know Jesus, but the other side has a heart, eyes open, and a smile after receiving the joy of the Lord. Hundreds of these precious mission dolls have been used locally and sent out on mission trips all over the world.

Missionaries

Woodmont supports two families among the Diaspora Peoples. Due to safety concerns we cannot share their names and locations. They serve people who have left their homelands for a safer and better life in another country.

From one of our missionary families:
"Amidst everyday routines our family spends our days drinking cups fo tea with diaspora peoples-some refuges, some students, some just looking for a different life."

Prayer Requests
  • For the Father to be working in the hearts of people and drawing them to Himself.
  • For the local fellowship here to grow in their love for the Lord, for one another, and for reaching the lost.
  • For a believer to arise from a strategic neighborhood in the city who will grow in faith, sharing boldly and discipling other wholeheartedly.
  • For wisdom and discernment in starting projects that will lead to many opportunities to share the good news in the community.
  • For our family to walk closely with the Father and rely on Him.

Operation Christmas Child

In 2021, Woodmont was able to send 608 gift-filled shoeboxes to hurting and/or impoverished children around the world through the organization known as Samaritan's Purse. The family of Woodmont fills each shoebox with age-appropriate hygiene items, school supplies, small toys, and other gifts and a WOW (special) item. The shoeboxes are gospel opportunities and many children and their families come to know Jesus Christ as their personal Lord and Savior through this mission.
