“Fixed: Watch Your Home” Ephesians 5:21-33


1. If you are a husband, do you love your wife as Christ loved the church and gave himself up for her? What are your areas of greatest strength? Greatest weakness? What can you do to capitalize on your strengths? What can you do to overcome your weaknesses?


2. If you are a wife, do you submit to and respect your husband? What are your areas of greatest strength? Greatest weakness? What can you do to capitalize on your strengths? What can you do to over-come your weaknesses?


3. Why is it important to think about the role of the Spirit when discussing marriage? How does the illustration of marriage as a picture of Christ and the church give purpose and hope for marriages?


4. Why do some react negatively to Paul’s instruction to wives? How would you answer their objections to the concept of submitting? Are you surprised there is less reaction to the requirement for men to “love their wives as Christ loved the church”?


5. How might a husband display “sacrificial love” practically? How might a husband display “sanctifying love” practically?
